The teeth bleaching process lightens the tooth colour by 2-3 shades. It can be done in the office or at home. The effect lasts for 3-6 months. It is a temporary treatment.
What are the different types of whitening procedures?
There are 2 main tooth whitening options:-
- In-Office: In-office bleaching produces noticeable results in a short period of time. After gums have been protected with a liquid dam, peroxide gel is applied to the teeth. Stubborn stains may necessitate another session.
- Take-Home Teeth Whitening Kits: Home kits use lower concentrations of peroxide gel and show results after prolonged use. They are also used as maintenance therapy for “In office bleaching”.
